Homelessness is a major issue since shelter in the form of a house is a basic necessity. Many local families live in damp, mud –bricks huts with thatched roofs. During heavy monsoons the houses become flooded with rain water. For those living in such dilapidated houses the Ashram builds about 25 to 35 new houses annually and offers it to the most needed families, free of cost.
